Hi. I’m Jeanelle Austin. I was born and raised in Minneapolis, MN. I spent my college days at Messiah College in Central Pennsylvania and my grad school days at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California. Today, I live in Austin, TX. [And yes, I’ve heard all the jokes about my last name being Austin and me living in Austin.] My purpose in this world is to pursue justice and publicly advocate for racial justice.
Like many people, I am a survivor of burnout. This blog is a written extension of my rest. I have never written a blog before, but I am committing myself to write something for every Monday. Some days it may be a stream of consciousness. Some days it may be premeditated thought. And other days, it may be a commentary on an experience or situation I bear witness to. I do not know what will come out of me, but what I do know is this: it is time to include writing into my healing journey. So welcome to โMondays Are My Me Daysโ …in writing.
I haven’t been this enthusiastic about a launch in a long time. Please, sister, bring all that you got.
